Our very own Dr. Fletcher Christensen has been selected as a 2026 AI Literacy Faculty Fellow in the College of Arts and Sciences. 

All Fellows will participate in a cross-disciplinary learning community dedicated to examining AI-free, AI-selective, and AI-integrated approaches to teaching and learning. The fellows will participate in monthly meetings, 2-3 workshops, and will create a publicly shareable artifact that advances the College’s collective understanding of AI in pedagogy. The cohort of fellows in CAS will be guided by Dr Irinia Meier, a leader in UNMs AI and pedagogy program.

Fletcher joined the faculty as an Assistant Professor in Statistics in 2018 and was promoted to Associate Professor with tenure in 2025.
