Abstract

Determination of the orbits of extrasolar planets has become an important part of astronomy. Here we briefly describe the methodology for determining exoplanetary orbits using the radial velocity curve of a parent star. We derive basic relations and, based on them, an   efficient algorithm for determining orbits that are nearly circular and those with moderate or large eccentricities.
