Abstract
The solution of the canonical harmonic oscillator according to quantum mechanics has important ramifications in chemistry. We demonstrate solutions according to matrix mechanics and wave mechanics in both its coordinate and momentum representations -- collectively called pioneer quantum mechanics, and the Dirac operator procedure. All these operations are efficiently implemented with software for computer algebra, and the solutions exhibit multiple critical aspects of quantum mechanics.
