Abstract
GeoGebra is a (two dimensional) Dynamic Geometry System (DGS) with spreadsheet and limited algebraic capabilities – but with plans to extend them in the future. Xcas is a Computer Algebra System (CAS), which incorporates a (two and three dimensional) DGS, spreadsheet and programming in Logo (turtle) in addition to its own programming language; in other words, Xcas is the swiss knife for mathematics. In this talk we present both systems and compare their geometric capabilities.
