Abstract
For an efficient astronomical image processing
it is of particular interes to filter the fits images
without correlating the noise. The traditional
signal processing methods have the great disadvantage
of averaging the noise with the celestial objects.
By using a new topology based filtering, we are able
to provide pre-processed exposured for the image reduction flow, with the same statistical quality as the raw fits images but with improved SNR(signal-to-noise ration).
