Abstract
We use commutative algebra tools to classify experimental designs according to the properties of their identifiable models. In order to actually use this classification and find the properties of a given design we use built-in algorithms from the computer algebra system CoCoA and several procedures implemented by the authors. We study some particular designs like fractions of full factorial designs in two levels and Plackett-Burman designs.
