Title: Computations in Pure Mathematics (Algebra, Analysis, Geometry, ...) Organizers: Maria-Emilia Alonso (Universidad Complutense, Spain) alonsog@eucmax.sim.ucm.es, Francisco Castro (Universidad de Sevilla, Spain) castro@cica.es and Laureano Gonzalez-Vega (Universidad de Cantabria, Spain) gvega@matesco.unican.es The aim of this session is to present several examples of how computer experimentations can be very useful to get and/or guess new results in pure mathematics. At least two kind of different presentations will be offered: either those showing the development of new algorithms and software to be used by mathematicians or those presenting successful applications of the previously mentioned algorithms/software. A specific subsession devoted to the computation of invariants for A_n modules will be organized.
