    Please read the Section on Euclidean Constructions (pages 22-24), including the examples and Constructions 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3

    Homework 2 (due Wed Feb 6, 2013): Problem 1 in Problem Set 1.1 page 14.
    Please read Problems 2 and 3 for discussion in class on Wednesday.

    Reading enrichment: Chapter 2 in Claire Fisher Addler's book Modern Geometry Chapter 2: Special topics of axiomatic geometry.

    Homework 1 (due Wed Jan 30, 2013): Exercises 2 and 6 in the Appendix (page 354).
    You will need to read the definition of a convex set in page 349.

    Reading enrichment: Chapter 1 in Claire Fisher Addler's book Modern Geometry Chapter 1: Logical systems and basic laws of reasoning.

    Homework 0 (due Wed Jan 23, 2013): Attempt Problem 1 in Chapter 0, page 6.
    If you know how to solve the Treasure Island problem then please write down your solution and turn it in on Wednesday (do not copy a solution found in the book, that will defeat the purpose of the homework).
