OPEN RANK LECTURER (Non-Tenure Track) available

Job Description: 

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of New Mexico has a full-time lecturer position available beginning Fall 2018. Duties include supervising the Mathematics Learning Lab (MaLL), and teaching general lower division mathematics courses in the Fall and Spring semesters.

Minimum Requirements
 Master’s Degree from an Accredited Institution, by appointment start date, in Mathematics or Statistics (or a closely related field)
 2-4 years of relevant professional teaching experience at the undergraduate level
 1-2 years of experience as administrator for the Emporium Model of teaching, including hiring, scheduling, training, and supervising tutors and instructors
 
Preferred Requirements
 PhD from an Accredited Institution, by appointment start date in Mathematics or Statistics (or a closely related field)
 Demonstrated excellence in teaching a variety of mathematics or statistics courses at the post-secondary, lower-division level
 Proven ability to work cooperatively and collegially
 Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as, working with broadly diverse communities.
 Experience as liaison to various university and off-campus entities
