Texts: Matrix Analysis and Applied Linear Algebra, by Carl D. Meyer, SIAM, 2000.
           
Prerequisites: Math 314/321 and some knowledge of programming

COURSE DESCRIPTION :   We study the theory of linear systems. Topics covered include general solutions of Ax=b, linear operators, vector spaces, norms, inner product spaces, orthogonality, determinants, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, and several matrix factorizations.
