INFO ON MATH 319
There will be no required textbook. Instead I am going to use the following Notes
Grading policy. There will be 1 midterm exam and a final. The exams will be given in class. They will consist in solving a set
of exercises very similar to the ones
contained in the homework or solved in class.
Homework will be assigned every Thursday. There will be a 10 minute
quiz every Thursday
consisting of one problem that is very similar or identical
to a homework problem.
Each of the exams represents 1/3 of the grade in this class and the quizzes
represent 1/3 of the grade.
Note.
Qualified students with disabilities needing appropriate academic adjustments
should contact me as soon as possible to ensure your needs
are met in a timely manner. Handouts are available
in alternative accessible formats upon request.
In an effort to meet obligations under Title IX, UNM faculty,
Teaching Assistants, and Graduate Assistants are considered
“responsible employees”
by the Department of Education
(see pg 15 -
http://www2.ed.gov/about/offices/list/ocr/docs/qa-201404-title-ix.pdf).
This designation requires that any report of gender discrimination
which includes sexual harassment, sexual misconduct and sexual
violence made to a faculty member, TA, or GA must be reported
to the Title IX Coordinator at the Office of Equal Opportunity
(oeo.unm.edu). For more information on the
campus policy regarding sexual misconduct,
